Thank you to all of the parents who were able to honored the staff last week for Teacher Appreciation. It was deeply appreciated!

Monday (weekly) AM Assembly
Principal Coffee Hours (meet by main office): Monday June 4th 2:00 PM
Wed. May 16- 2 hr early dismissal
Thurs. May 17- Northgate's First Annual Kindergarten Readiness Night 6:30pm. Northgate HeadStart Students and incoming Kinders and their families are invited.
Monday May 28 - No School. Memorial Day.
Thursday May 31- Northgate Talent Show
Thursday June 7- Family Math Night- Games for summer.
Tuesday June 12- Year-end PTA Meeting 6:30-7:30. Begin planning exciting ways to kick off our next school year
Friday June 15- Northgate BBQ & Field Day
Friday June 22- Last day of school. 1 hour early dismissal.

Features: Northgate HeadStart
Northgate also has Head Start, a program for 3-5 year old eligible children. If you have or know of families interested in a preschool experience that prepares children for Kindergarten please visit and apply. We are taking applications for Fall 2012. Most of the Head Start students feed into Northgate Elementary and have that added experience of knowing the school that they will attend Kindergarten
Global Reading Challenge Finals Results
Our Northgate Victory Stealers did an amazing job last night at the City Finals!Out of ten teams and a possible score of 120, they earned 115 points – missing only one question and earning a 3rd place finish!
Two teams advance to the international video portion of the competition next month. These teams had 120 points each.
Watching the girls was really inspirational. They were showing us the best in team work (their huddles were amazing – head to head collaborative efforts!) poise, confidence and enjoyment of the event.
I was really proud to be in the audience watching them. It was fun to watch their families and teachers cheering them on. Congratulations to them for all their hard work, and thank you to all those who coached them along the way. Amber deserves special kudos for all her efforts in getting her students to this spectacular finish!
