    Northgate READS/COUNTS Program

    Northgate Elementary in conjunction with Seattle Parks & Recreation Department sponsors the Northgate READS/COUNTS program which is an enrichment program designed to enhance the reading and math skills of 2nd -5th grade students who attend Northgate Elementary School. This program also provides a 2 day a week Adult ESL Class, for Northgate families.  The Northgate READS/COUNTS student program is only available for invited students each session in grades 2-5. This FREE program has runs for 30 weeks each school year.  By invitation only provides:  

    -Creative reading instruction from teachers for 2nd-3rd grade students (Mondays/Tuesdays)  
    -Targeted math instruction for 4th-5th grade students (Tuesdays/Thursdays)

    - Homework assistance with volunteer tutors (Mon/Tues/Thurs) 
    -Fun Wednesday enrichment classes, including arts, swimming, cooking, and dance
    -Adult ESL drop-in Classes (Tues/Thurs)—is open to all Northgate parents
